The Templars today
The Sovereign Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem (SMOTJ) draws inspiration from the chivalric ideals and Christian charity associated with the historic Knights Templar. The United States Grand Priory is affiliated with OSMTH—Ordo Supremus Militaris Templi Hierosolymitani—an international, ecumenical Christian organization committed to humanitarian service.
For Templar Table, that spirit of service takes a practical form: preparing food, welcoming guests, and helping neighbors with care and dignity.
The Lisa Muegge Feast of Plenty began in 2005 in Hancock County, Indiana. Rooted in Lisa’s faith and love for her community, the annual Thanksgiving outreach has provided thousands of meals through dine-in, carryout, and home delivery, along with groceries and other essential supplies.
For more than two decades, its welcome to anyone in need has carried Lisa’s legacy forward. Templar Table brings that inspiration to participating priories, helping local teams offer their own community meal events at Thanksgiving and throughout the year.
Templar Table brings the Feast of Plenty outreach model to participating priories, with each local team organizing the meals, volunteers, and support its community needs.
